Career Overview
Lampard began at West Ham United, where his father Frank Sr. had been a long-serving player. He emerged as a regular in the late 1990s before transferring to Chelsea in 2001 for £11 million. Across thirteen seasons at Stamford Bridge he became the club's all-time leading goalscorer with 211 goals, surpassing Bobby Tambling. His tally remains the highest scored by a midfielder in Premier League history for many years.
His final season in English football was at Manchester City in 2014–15, after which he moved to New York City FC in MLS. He retired from playing in 2017 and moved into coaching.
